This is no big deal for those that have done this before. This was my first time and I wanted to share the experience with others.
This is for those who may be thinking about swapping their old key fob for a new one and haven't done it before.
The brand of the new fob isn't important, it's pretty much the same for all of them.
I have a Pros and Cons chart about the brand that I used at the end of the post.
By the way, there is a less expensive version of the case I used available. Oh well, live and learn.

Safety and patience are the key to a good job and no injuries.

Great post again, John!

Just an FYI here, I found the red button (alarm button) in my old FOB (that rotted out), is just like the new button. The replacement FOB's red button pops out and pushes into the place where the rotted out one goes (make sure you remove the remnants of the old red button), then it just plugs in flush in your old case. Take the batteries out before you mess with it so you don't set off the alarm while switching the old with new red button.
