Ultimately, I'm ready to pay for another airbag to replace the faulty one, saw some on eBay. I just need to be sure they're not from Takata.
If I buy one before 2007, will it fit the bill ?

I read in a french forum dedicated to Crossfire owners that the number of Crossfire produced was around 75K. My number (I suppose this is the 6-digit number at the end of the VIN) is around 73K.
Saw on Youtube a guy changing the steering wheel and removing the airbag first, seems easy peasy to do. I guess you have to change the whole frame, not dismantling the airbag itself.

BTW, does this problem also affect passenger airbag ?
