Takata airbag recall
Sent an email 4 days ago to CustomerServiceInternational@fca.com to check the VIN. No answer yet :-(
Hi all,
To follow up, I called the FCA customer service in the US, the number was kindly given by a member here.
Giving my VIN, they told me there's no current open recalls for my car. I asked them to confirm by email, what they did.
The operator asked me for the last 8 digits of the VIN, and in the email I received, they quoted the full number.
Also called a Chrysler dealer in Belgium, and by using an internal site called link-e-entry for the Stellantis group, the operator gave me the same results.

Hi,
This is the email I received:
Dear Mr.,
Thank you for contacting us regarding your vehicle.
We have reviewed your Vehicle Identification Number (XXXX) as requested and verified that there are currently no open recalls affecting your vehicle at this time or any records of recalls.
Should any future recalls be issued, you will be notified directly by mail, or you may also check at any time using the official Mopar website (https://www.mopar.com/en-us/my-vehic...ls/search.html) recall lookup site , you can just add your VIN or by contacting us again.
Please let us know if there’s anything else we can assist you with.
Best regards,
Steph

I suppose for those who received an alert on an airbag issue, that was different.
The question I'm asking my self is: does FCA US knows all issues for all Chrysler cars in the world ?

BTW, the 2007 and 2008 models have a modified airbag control module (which resides under the console) that added pins for knee bag bolsters. The modules have a high failure rate. My 2007 module failed and I haven't been able to find one anywhere so far. To remove the red SRS fault light on the dash panel pull fuse #7 under the hood.
