honestly I don't miss the car a bit. Miss the money I put into it, miss the car I sold when I got it... don't miss that pain in the *** a bit though. I like having my lifted trucks again

Re: Crash Safety of a Crossfire...
While these cars can be a pain in the ***, they are so different from anything else, after my accident, I bought another and made it even better than the first.
Here she is, before and after what we believe to be a front tire blowout on a twisty mountain road, flipping 20 feet into a creek and landing on its top. It saved my life and I walked away with minor injuries, damn strong cars...

Came across this old thread which features several totaled Crossfires.
Well this Roadster was hit passenger side by a 70mph passenger train while it was stuck in snow on the train tracks
The lady inside new it was stuck and also new in about 4 minutes a train would be coming and got out called 911 to report the situation but unfortunately they were unable to notify the train engineer and it was a dark winter morning and she watched the train crash into the car and push it about a 1/2 miles down the tracks by the time the train stopped.
She then saw the engineer and a few others from the train looking inside the car for the body.
She yelled to them as she ran down the snowy tracks that it was her car and nobody was in it.
The drivers side door still opened and closed properly.
I saw this story on the local news and called her that night
Introduced myself and from there I met her several days later and convinced her to replace it which she did with another one just like it
From that day we became friends, they joined the forum here and they are still enjoying the car.

Re: Crash Safety of a Crossfire...
My son had a wreck in his truck - hit a tree. He said he ran off the road, but my 5 year old grandson ratted him out. He told me that his uncle was texting! Too funny!
Now, however, my son is adamant about not using his cell phone when driving, so some good came out of it and no one was hurt...except the tree!
