The Official "Black" C-R-O-S-S-F-I-R-E Photo Thread
I recently updated mine with some slasher stripes. The chrome side strake overlays go on next weekend.

Another alternative I was thinking of was to get it "wrapped" in matte black. Got this baby for a 10k and change with 60k mi. The only think I really honestly need to do is replace the blower motor resistor, maybe a tire pressure sensor (light is on) and the headlights, they tend to fog up when I wash it. Interior is pretty flawless except the driver side seat has a tiny bit of wear when you "slide" across when you get in. After I replace the radio for a DVD/NAV flip up and the resistor, I will begin on the exterior. Whatcha think?
edit: oh yeah, I NOW need a new windshield....... a highway rock decided to put a running crack in my life.
ps. yes the wheels are on backwards. they are currently on the right way, this was a dealer pic. will be posting more soon

What is covering your windshield surround? Looks matte black

I would either paint this body color (correctly) and stay with the black on the strakes and handles as well, or else, go back to silver on the WS surrounds. I am just giving my $0.02 since you asked, but I have customized quite a few dark cars in my time and IMHO they have turned out pretty well

I wanted to do my entire black coupe in matte, but when I realized that i would probably not like it in a few years, I reconsidered. I think the matte black/gray accents belong on a car that is not gloss black, but that is just my opinion.
Good luck with it, they sure are fun (except the constant cleaning, only reason I went to graphite metallic)
