LOL! Yeah, I really hate it when I figure out that I'm old enough to be their father.

Washed the black beast last night. I normally use distilled water for everything. This time I used tap water for everything but the rinse. I left the water on to see if it would spot up or be totally displaced by the distilled rinse. Should have figured, lots of spots. Might serve like a guide coat when I buff it out, which I now definitely have to do.

So I get my car back from the shop today after recieving paint and a buffing. Of course, knowing Florida, a big *** storm rolls right in only a few hours after I get home. So, I decided to get some shots taken before it came in.

I was just messing with the exposure in this next pic. If the storm really was that dark, the last thing I'd be doing is taking pictures.

Your car looks great. Watch out for flying cows.

That looks like a very interesting pin stripe you have there. It looks like it starts on the front fender and angles down then right back up and follows the body line. Is this something new? and do you have any better pictures to show it off?? Thanks.

I'm sorry for missing your post Boiler. The pinstripe starts behind the front fender with a skinny triangle with Crossfire written in it, and it joins together as it goes over the door handle and ends with the curves at the tail lights. I'll try and post a better picture when I get the chance.

Thanks, a pinstripe can really set a car off, but with one with lines as sharp as the XF, it can be difficult to really make it look right, I look forward to seeing some better pics....

Yea, i mean she's still in the works. When my brother comes back from UTI in AZ, we are going to paint the side strakes, door handles, and the frame around the windshield all black. Plus I'm also thinking about getting the Konig Unknowns..

Gotta tell ya, I don't like the rims - I think even a BLACK one needs some chrome!

I do like the rim in the following post...

Did you take the Chrysler badge off the back? I know you debadged the "Crossfire" and I like that, but I too wonder about the Chrome Chrysler badge.

Your eyes are playing tricks on you my dear friend. I did happen to take off "crossfire" but as for the wings, I did take it off but i haven't had the time to peel off the tape that is still there. The wings are still in the process of being sanded, primed, and then painted all black except for the badge in the middle. I will post closer shots later on bc I'm posting this on my phone. Yea I know, I'm a very avid forum reader. Haha. As for the wheels, I'm thinking about getting those konigs in the near future. Hopefully before the TMS meet but if not, then shortly afterwards I will. My whole aspect on my car is to turn gee into a purely blacked out XFire.
