Has anyone seen a really nice secondary color other than silver that would look good on an SSB car? I wanna be different but I can't think of a good accent color. Please help! Any crazy ideas or pictures just let me knoq people! Thanks!
Thanks guys. It's definitely still a bit rough around the edges. The previous owner didn't take care of it very well, but that's about to change! Needed tires, brakes, service indicator was reading -26K and oil was dirty. A little TLC and all will be good...
Let's hope he just didn't reset the FSR, and that he didn't run the car for 33k miles on the same oil. I can't believe there are people out there that neglect their cars like that. The good thing is these engines are solid.
In case you need to know how to reset that -26k follow the directions below and it might take a couple times to get the knack but it does work
RESETTING THE FSS MAINTENANCE INDICATOR AFTER AN OIL CHANGE
1) Move the ignition switch to the “RUN” position
2) Within 4 seconds of moving the ignition switch into the
“RUN” position, press the reset button for the trip odometer
twice within one second The display for the FSS service
request is activated for 10 seconds
3) During the 10 seconds the FSS service request is displayed,
move the ignition switch to the “OFF” position
The FSS service request will continue to be displayed
4) Press the reset button for the trip odometer and
hold
5) Move the ignition switch to the “RUN” position
6) Continue to press and hold the reset button for the trip
odometer (about 10 seconds) until the audible signal
sounds and the new start distance appears in the display
The tool symbol should disappear at this time
Yeah, I'm amazed that someone would neglect a car like this. I sure hope the guy did the maintenance and just didn't reset it, but I may never know. The oil is definitely pretty dirty though. I took the car in for an oil change this week, but Jiffy lube (Jiffy lube - yeah, I know), wanted almost 200 bucks for an oil change, and they said their book showed it only too 3.5 qts of oil! I'll be changing it myself this weekend, thanks to the info and instructions on this forum.
