I installed a new oil level sending unit last night, so my oil level readings are good to go. Today I showed off the XF at Cars & Coffee and hit 145MPH trying to keep up with the gang. I also swapped the fogs out for a new set. Fun day for sure.

Last weekend my car got tinted tail lights, tinted rear UK side markers, amp rack made and installed, fully detailed (inside outside engine bay) and 2 big stickers across the windshield and one on the passenger fender to cover up the "squirrel damage".

I would show pics but I have not had a camara this year...

Well, I downsized today and now only have one Crossfire. I will be doing some detailing tomorrow.

I replaced both front motor mounts. Found that the driver side mount had literally separated from the base. This resulted in the gear shifter travelling under heavy acceleration. For anyone trying or needing to replace their mounts let the shop do it, lol. The passenger side is relatively easy to do but the drivers side not so much. I would say one should have an engine lift and use the lift. I tried for over an hour trying to start the bolt on the driver side mount laying in the same direction as the car.

I found the if you lay horizontal to the car and remove the steering stabilizer it allowed for increased room to get your hand into a very tight space.

Also installed Robs catch can and coolant separation and a KN Extreme filter for the CAI.

I had fun doing laps at Texas Motor Speedway with many other Crossfire owners. It was a great day!

Cool, looks like fun! Did they let you go all out or was there a speed limit? And is that a radar detector ?

We were doing 90-100mph most of the time. The slowest speed I saw was 80mph, but that was to slow down and put some distance between me and the car ahead of me. There is a pace car and there is no passing. To be honest 100mph on that track feels like a gentle Sunday drive. One time they let us go 120mph and that was really fun and got your attention.

The radar detector wasn't needed at the track but is one of the best investments I have made since putting in the V8.

I installed new fog lights the other day, but my protective covers haven't arrived yet. Since I have a business trip tomorrow that includes me driving the XF, I decided to take action.

I hate to do it, but function is more important that form in this case.

Evan, your car is, well, is.....just beautiful!
We've got to get together at the next TMS in the Spring.

I got thru doing my first clay cleaning of my '07, and all I can say is......That! was SO cooool!!!
I did the bag over the hand trick, and it really does make a difference in how well you can feel the finish of your car.
I just thought I had a clean car, not any more!
I used the clay from an Adam's kit I'd won, detail spray was Meguiar's 135 Synthetic Detailer, followed by a rub down with the Adam's Revive Polish, finished off with Meguiar's Gold Class Carnuba Paste Wax.
Here's a few shots from this morning...

Thanks to the "YouTube" video of Mike at Mequiar's for giving me the knowledge of how to do the clay bar correctly.

My son started his own car detailing business and I was one of his first customers. I have to say he did a FABULOUS job and even buffed out all of the scratches and swirls! Reflects just like a mirror.. I'm one satisfied customer...

Here are a couple of pictures, but you can see more in my photo album.
