1. Bounce dryer sheets work well. Buy a box and put some in engine, cabin, trunk.
2. Any Barbara Streisand album, full blast in CD player
3. Bottle of Burbon (for you)
I considered the cat option. Also considered putting one of our ball pythons in the car but we could lose the python, have a hard time getting it out or it could get out of the car entirely. No sound from the stereo so the Streisand option is out. I will try mothballs and bounce dryer sheets. What my brother put in the car last night was an all natural product with a pine scent. Not sure what it is called I think the mothballs would be a more powerful deterrent to get the mice out and the dryer sheets or pine stuff could be a better long-term solution.

That's SWEET`!!! You'll have the nicest-looking Duo-valve in your neighborhood. 😉 I completely disassembled and cleaned my duo-valve last year because after 14 years and 33K miles no one had gone to the trouble to change the coolant and it was sticking. It never occurred to my thick brain to have the metal covers plated. Again; super duper nice.
thank you my friend.now i'm just waiting on the rest of my parts to get back from the plater.if fp were still around he'd be proud.😉nice job on your duo valve restoration!looks better than new.

I'm going crazy with the electronics on my Crossfire. They diagnosed a faulty Power Control Module/ I sent it to Solo Electronics in Miami to repair
plus bought the exact same PCM from a salvage yard and sent it to Beeckman Electronics in North Carolin to get it unlocked. So now I have 2
Still no good. the tech couldnt get it going. Anyone know any hot shot mechanics in the North Jersey area that can dope this thing out?
Does not start is not enough info. Does it crank and not start, does it not do anything? If you disconnect the battery and rehook it up does it make a difference? Are there any lights on the dash, do you have power to anything, headlights, radio etc.?
I know the battery is ok. They checked it out when they turn the key to try to start it the car will not do anything. It will not power up. no clicking. nothing
They diagnosed it as a faulty power control module. I took the module and shipped it to Solo Auto Electronics in Miami. They went through it and sent it back
I also found the exact same module on the internet from a salvage yard. and bought it. I shipped it to Beckman Technologies in North Carolina and the unlocked it
so then I had 2 modules. I towed my car back to the same mechanic and still no results.
In my frustration I found a guy who specializes in Mercedes and said he's worked on Crossfires. I towed it there and now waiting for him to diagnose all over again
While packing up for the Crossfire Fall ToD / Fontana Lodge Weekend, I discovered that the hatch support struts were losing the capability to support the hatch in the open position. I had moved the Coupe to the end of our driveway while re-arranging cars, and the hatch would not stay open while parked on the sloping surface. So Roberta & I spent the weekend at Fontana Lodge having to hold the hatch open when we wanted to gain access to the area below. (Note: If I parked on a somewhat level surface, the hatch struts would support the hatch in the open position. So I knew the strut cylinders were just beginning to enter the failure mode.) Late yesterday, the new replacements strut cylinders arrived via Amazon and we installed these earlier today. Oh what a difference!! Cost me $21.19 for the pair (incl sales tax) with free shipping from Amazon Prime.

Took advantage of the beautiful day here in SC today to sweep & clean the interior of the Coupe (after last weekend's Fall ToD / Fontana Lodge Event) & then treated the leather seating surfaces in the car. Seats look really good & smell nice!
