This morning I was cruising at 50 mph, about 2 miles after leaving my home in my 2005 Limited Roadster, when the engine dies; just stopped running. The panel warnings all lit up. I coasted to a stop and tried to crank. It turned over like normal, but there was no sign of it firing. Since this had happened one time before, about a year ago, I waited about 5 minutes and tried again. It fired, but barely enough to turn over for a few seconds. I tried again a few seconds later and it started just fine, so I drove to my destination, about 5 miles away. When I left to return home, it fired just fine, and ran until I was about 1/8 of a mile from the house where it died again with no warning. The engine would turn over just fine, but would not run. Finally, after a dozen or so attempts, the engine finally ran, though roughly, and I was able to get into my driveway, where it died again. I have not been able to get it to start, after a dozen or so attempts throughout the day. I will check the fuel pump tomorrow morning. Last week I ordered new plugs, plug wires, serpintine belt, and a fuel pump from Needswings so those parts are on hand. I also have a crank position sensor on hand. If anyone knows a good source to have the control module repaired and for a new one, please let me know. If any ideas to get my baby running again, please shout out.
Something you can do without parts is disconnect battery for some time(10-15 mins) then try again. See what happens?

thanks for that. Yea I plan to purchase some in the future but wanted to make sure it was mechanically sound first. I've been working on bits all year, the whole front end of the motor is practically new with new mounts as well. Had to do suspension right away also. This winter I'm going to get after it while it's stored in the garage and take care of top end and some transmission service.

Absolutely. Definitely better! It's crazy the difference it makes you wouldn't even realize. I always say the same when I've neglected to wash a vehicle for a while, afterwards it even drives better! 😂

Hi All,
Been a while since I've progressed with all things Crossfire, however this weekend following months of no use, I jumped in to find the headliner sagging pretty much front to back.
Sourced a £3 delivered head-liner repair kit from amazon and thats given me a temp fix until I remove and re-cover in a black quilted yellow diamond stitch alcantara upgrade, to match with my new bucket seats, passenger seat demo placement image below.

Changed valve covers this weekend to red from Needswings, cleaned coil packs and leads. Someone had put silicon sealer around the small top cover so always had a small amount of oil drip on the manifold. I just don’t get some people with cheap fixes. Time to start tidying engine bay up. One of the last owners left the rubber bumper off the bonnet fixing so the bonnet rubber seal was rubbing on the front cross member so some elbow grease to get the marks off next

This actually looks fairly neat. Score one for Amazon again! And score one for Owner who did a really good job of installing the headliner repair kit!

Yesterday, wife & I decided to take the Coupe out for a short drive. Ended up in Southern Greenville County. Stopped at a local winery ( City Scape Winery) & had a nice lunch with several glasses of wine. Place was packed! Enjoyed our drive home from there.

Sounds very nice I’m jealous. Just back from Mexico so got the holiday blues. I could do with a drive with the roof down a few glasses of wine, leave the kids at home 😂

My reverse lights were not lighting and the fuse and bulbs were good
It was caused by a $20 switch on the outside of my manual transmission
It was ordered and came from Germany
Installed the new switch and reverse lights are now again working

Recently I've been researching my 2006 Roadster as much as possible to find out it's history. It's been fun learning about my car and it's journey to my garage. I just thought I'd share some of it.
I have had some great help with my history research from members of this forum. I'd like to thank dedwards0323, DTMenace, ZERACER and others for their help.
After contacting Chrysler Customer Service I was able to find out the original selling dealer.
Next I was looking for the shipping point of entry and I was misled by the VIN decoder because it kept referring to Virginia transport laws as far as the point of entry. Therefore I thought it was Norfolk VA but DTMenace informed me it was actually Baltimore Maryland.
I decided to take a chance and spend some money on a CARFAX report and I was surprised at how much I found out! The point of entry was confirmed, the history of all of the states my car has been through, and the fact that I'm the 6th owner was shocking for a car that only had around 45,000 miles on it when I bought it! The amount of knowledge and research on this forum and from it's members is amazing!

Looks like a simple contact proximity switch. Gotta look at the 2007 Service Manual & see if my Coupe with the 5-Speed Automatic has the same or similar switch.
