What did you do to your Crossfire today?
Re: What did you do to your Crossfire today?
Took off my 3rd brake light this morning, it wasn't lighting up on the left side and brought it to my local electronics rebuilder he opened it up and resoldered the circuit board ,sealed it again with epoxy and had it back to me in half a day ,and I was driving home with a fully functioning LED 3rd brake light .
Now no more shame, and no more people telling me " Hey ,You know your brake light doesn't light up on the left side !"

Cleaned my exhaust tips.
I forgot to take picture of the left one before I cleaned it but here it is.
1- Already cleaned the left side. It was as dirty as the right one.

2- Dremel Tool kit. I used stainless steal brush with mothers chrome cleaner. Not sure if that's the right thing to do but hell it worked for me. You have to start slow once you get used to it you can speed it up. Make sure you don't scratch your tips with the screws on dremel cloth tool when you are doing finishing. I scratched just a little bit but hard to notice. You might have to clean + reapply mother cleaner then in the last use cloth tip for dremel to polish it (make sure you don't scratch it).

Driving my XF as my daily driver:/
Didn't like paying for 3 car insurances, took my beater 98 Grand Cherokee Jeep off the road for the summer.
Fixing up the beater, even polish and waxing her...wow!
Work on the XF in winter.....work on the Jeep in the summer!

Have to tell ya I've been here for almost 6 years now and never saw "rim protectors"
I'm also interested to know where you got these from as I'm sure many others here are as well.
Pretty cool

Re: What did you do to your Crossfire today?
Last night I put my car together my car and took it to a local ¼ mile track! My best run was a 11.793
Not bad for having my full stereo setup in the trunk
This is my 6th year owning this car and Somehow it still puts a smile on my face (and everyone else who drives it) every time I get in.
Today I almost attempted picking the rubber off the rear but no ambition to do so.

Re: What did you do to your Crossfire today?
Found a couple of vendors here in the states but they are asking a steep price for these, plus they don't carry many colors. I ended up buying these directly from RIMBLADES over in the UK cause they had the color I wanted (Blue) and were much cheaper price wise. Takes a little work to install but they stick like the dickens. They have a VHB double sided tape that goes on after you clean the rim edge with the supplied alcohol wipes and then apply a 3M primer that comes in a crush tube swab. They say if the tire guy is careful, these should remain on the rim during a tire change. I had some minor rim scrapeage and found these hid that nicely. Here's the link where I ordered from...

Thanks for the write up and the link.
Looks like a pretty cool product
NOTE: There are 2 different kinds available.
1) Adhesive stick on
2) Rim mounted inside tire bead with tire deflated.
See both the install videos: http://www.rimblades.com/

Yup, you get 4 ea that are each long enough to do 22" rims.
I used the adhesive stick on type with the wheels still mounted on the car.

Re: What did you do to your Crossfire today?
I've been thinking of a way to put a laser distance finder/indicator under the front lip to gauge the point before you scrape the lip on those high parking space blocks or the curbs in front of the local zippy mart. The wifeys' depth perception is horrendous. (nudge, nudge, wink, wink)
