Five Years...
Who would've thought 5 years ago what an experiance buying a little car would become.
Since buying my little crossfire we've seen more of our country, meet some of the nicest people, and have had more fun than a young curmudgeon deserves.

Just one of MANY places we've been to since we became owners...

This was at Terlingua, Texas. One of the many places on the CAA4 routes.
Again, just saying, WOW! I never would have known or seen this part of Texas if not for joining the Crossfire community..
So, HAPPY BIRTHDAY! to my Bridgette

I feel the same way as you, the Crossfire really changed our way of travel and the enjoyment we have meeting the folks that drive them and looking forward to the next gtg. That picture is about 630 miles from where I live in East Texas, so I probably would have never seen that without owning a Crossfire. Thanks Crossfire folks for making our retirement better than we were expecting.
And I just "thought" I was buying a nifty looking little car and helping a buddy out from under the payment..
Road trip used to mean head over to Arkansas..
Now it means week long vacations.. new friends and adventures.. and oh yeah.. my coupe or the wife's roadster now.. LOL
I can't wait till we retire!

Looking at the previous posts, I realized that I have traveled many hundreds of miles with you 4 guys. And in dcjordan,s case over 5000 miles. All because of a car. Dennis, I think its time go for a little ride.
Great post and tribute Terry! I too never thought that buying this little car would lead me (us) to meeting so many people and making such wonderful friends. Love the photo at Terlingua! Happy Birthday Bridgette!
I always said if they would have put side note on the Crossfire , That you will meet some great people driving this great car , they would still be making them , Susan and I are going on eight years with are Crossfire and life time with some great Friends that we have made over the years .
This month was 5 years for us with our "weekend ride". As others, we've enjoyed many a weekend trip to nearby venues using our XFire as the mode of transportation. We've been to ToD weekend GTG's and the 1st CAA event in St. Louis. Everywhere we go to meet other XFire Owners, we make friends with folks that have the same passion about this marque as we do. Great memories & looking forward to future ones.
Mine was a retirement gift to my self and while I have yet to get to a big GTG, I have made many new friends at the car shows I have attended, not to mention the mantle full of trophies. Saying that, I have one regret, I got divorced just before I purchased the Crossfire [It was not my desire to get divorced] and I can't help thinking how much fun we could have had together going to these events. Funny thing is, my ex now lives, for the time being, in apartment consisting of one bedroom and a living space over the garage. I envy those of you who share your joy with someone special, it makes it all the more enjoyable.
