Default SRT spoiler conversion on a Limited

Used the search and came up with nothing but I know this has been done. Does anyone have any pictures or can they relate the difficulty of the conversion?

I have all the pieces I think -- spolier from a SRT, new SRT bra because of the extended depth. Do I need anything else?

Thanks.

Boy did I screw this up. Maybe I should start all over. I called it a spoiler and I meant the front air dam. The one on the SRT is lower and has a different look then the limited. This too has been done before.

Sorry for the screw up.

You have just the spoiler, or the complete bumper cover?

Hi James

I have the entire bumper cover. It is new for a SRT. It will have to be painted. It is in prime only.

Everything will change over with no problems and no additional parts.

Thanks. I will keep the OEM limited cover in case someone wants to take it back. Thanks for the picture it confirmed that I liked the look. I have the same color as your car only it is roadster.

I've had my front bumper cover off a couple of times.
I'd give it 2 hours tops, with jacking up the front, using stands, and removing the front wheels - makes it much easier to access
the inner fender covers for removal.

I did mine - by accident back in 06.

had the car two weeks - hit a concrete block that fell out of a pickup - tore the cover up pretty bad. While we were putting on the cover, I figured I would see about adding the SRT lip. Found out two things: 1) it aint a separate lip, just an extension of the standard nose, so you have to buy the whole thing. 2) The SRT nose was about $150 CHEAPER than the standard nose. Only thing I could figure was supply and demand, apparently not many people were buying the SRT nose so it was discounted. This was genuine Chyrsler OEM parts. Since insurance was paying for the whole thing, I let them paint it and install so have no first hand knowledge of installation but I am sure ala_fire is spot on. Had them paint the grill body color while they were at it to get the total monochrome black look. Being a base, it already had the black side strakes, windshield surround and door handles.

I've tried to stay away from CMU blocks since then.
