Pizza's crisis
It FINALLY happened. Got 100,210 miles on the car and have been waiting for it.
At lunch, car dies at a light. Took four attempts to start it - CHECK ENGINE is on.
Code is P0335 - we all know what that means!
I was actually wondering how long I could make it go on the original part. And I expected it to die in the HEAT, not two days after the worst cold in 12 years.

CHeck it out - the price is down $2.27 since I got mine!

So, did it finally start, or was it towed home? I'm curious because most of the threads on this say it will start after a while. I don't think I've read about one that quit after one no start.
Oh, yea. It started on the third or fourth try.
I just changed the CPS (I'm at home now) but I got heavy handed and broke the locking tab off the connector. Nothing holds it on now - so I need a connector, which will be harder to find than an honest politician! I can keep it in place with an L bracket and a pair of vice grips, but that is certainly a temporary solution.

Mine threw this code on tuesday as I was letting it warm up. I scanned it and was thinking oh nice the CPS code. Mine never cut off though and it actually went out the next day (wed of this week) and has stayed off. Either way, im on borrowed time, I know it will cut the car off eventually, it happen this past summer. Check engine code for CPS came on then went out, then 2.5 months later it died as I was ripping up to 80 from a stop to get on a hwy.
Ironically, I replaced the CPS with one from the vendor of the link you provided (earlier during summer) and now it seems it might be bad. Wont be getting another one from them.

Now you are thinking like me!
I found that the connector on the alternator (and perhaps the supercharger clutch) is the same. It looks like AdvanceAuto can get me one in a few days - so no big rip.
I may use my little L bracket and vise grips to hold it in place for a few days....

use a spade connector that will fit under the mounting bolt with a short piece of wire to use to wrap around the connector harness.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh, man. Why did I not think of that?
(I cant believe I named the thread "Pizza's Crisis" in sarcasm, then I break the tab and turn a simple fix into an all-weekend affair...)
