Default Thank God for garages.

Thursday, the 22nd of May, we had a little thunder storm predicted, which we got, however, along with the rain we got hail !!!!! Some the size of tennis *****!!! Many cars had windshields broken, any that were outdoors were dented or worse. My daughters Equinox, which they just got, looked like it had been used as a baseball backstop. My brothers vinyl siding looked as if a large shotgun hit it. I was lucky, my cars were in the garage and I have a brick home. The local car dealers didn.t fare too well either. I suspect my insurance will be going up to help pay all these claims, it's for certain that the ins. companies will not be losing any money. Sad to say, maybe your ins. will go up also. Wouldn't be surprised.

Same storm in southeastern PA as well, my SRT6 was safe in my garage, but my two other cars, an Altima and CTS sustained hail damage. What pisses me off is, both cars did not have a ding or scratch on them, they were in pristine shape for daily drivers. This happened around 4:00 PM, if it had happened 1.5 hours later they would have been safe in my garage.
I feel your pain.....

thats spooky as here in the UK in southern england last thursday (22nd) we also had a violent hailstorm in the afternoon not golfball size but enough for me to have to stop under a bridge as there was zero visibility for about 15 minutes...

Yeah, there was an ad in the paper for the 1st Hail sale. We have three local dealers and they all suffered, one dealer was quoted as having 1 mil in damages, the other two are a little smaller but still probably 3/4 mil for each. Might have to see what they are asking at the Jeep dealer, maybe I can get a new Jeep to fix up. I better bone up on body work. LOL
