New AMG - GT
The AMG GT is fast on the racetrack but also suitable for everyday driving, Mercedes says. Hmmm, now this one is worth looking at.

The 3.8 second 0-60 is pathetic for such a car. An Audi RS7, BMW M6 Gran Coupe, and CLS63 are all quicker to 60 and weigh a lot more. Sad. The 175K dollar price tag is 75K more than the GTR that blazes to 60 in under 3 seconds. I just don't get it.

Am reminded of "Jack of all trades and master of none". Perhaps its first task is to preserve the lives of those who can afford it so they are around to buy the next one.
ps my vehicles each have a specific purpose even if just for sentimental reasons.

I like the new roofline, but the front end still looks too long to me in the side view.
Doesn't much matter since I'll never be able to afford one anyways.
I guess it's a good thing I'm still totally satisified with my XF.

That is a gorgeous car. I would love to have a convertible.
No, it's not. Please provide your source for 1965 Pontiac acceleration data.
I don't think those are apples to apples comparisons. The softer suspension in a more luxury tuned vehicle may improve the 0-60 time through more weight transfer for example. Mercedes-Benz has misrepresented 0-62 times before. We won't know for sure until someone does an instrumented test.

I dunno.. Especially when I see the spoiler movement, this feels like a slightly larger evolution of our crossfire body. The middle of the car is the same shape, with a longer tail. Hell, I've had less car-savvy folks assume my xf was an sl coupe. (Though it is debadged.)
You will be able to afford it some day. Cars like that depreciate at a rate between $500 and $1000 per MONTH!
To bad there maintenance cost dont like the crossfire.

I came across an interesting utube on its construction the other night.
