Default Bad Cabin Odor

Whether turning on the heat or AC, I initially get an unpleasant vinegar-like odor. I have changed the cabin filter but with no improvement. Any ideas on the cause and how to fix it?
Thanks

Does it overpower the melted crayons smell?

So true !

Try leaving the circulating fan on the low position. (never shut it completely off)

Lay off the beans.

Seriously, take off the wipers and the cowl cover and clear out all the debris.

I get that musty odor too. You could try spraying Lysol in the intake by the cowl. Some say that seems to help.

Sounds like the typical smell of the moisture that has built up in the A/C system ducting, I've always heard that spraying that "Ozium" spray works really well with mildew/moldy scents, once again it's sprayed into the cowl outside by the wipers, with the fan drawing outside air in to the system of course. It's worth a shot...

The ole' cop in me has to ask....do you have any enemies? LOL.... I have had a lot of things over the years secretly hidden in places you could only imagine...but, then again.... I probably deserved it....

You might have had a critter get in somewhere and has died....time to look in the nooks and crannies...
