Hello all you Cossfire lovers ! I love my 2005 Crossfire !

I am wondering what the best kind of anti-freeze to use ..? Does it matter what kind is used ?

I read somewhere that said " anti-freeze is anti-freeze , it doesn't matter as long as you go with 50 % water and 50% anti-freeze" ....

Does anyone know the truth about this ?

50% DISTILLED water and Zerex G-05 is/was my choice.

 

I agree! Good choice.

 

I believe you are not supposed to mix "HOAT" antifreeze, such as the zerex g-05 with conventional antifreeze. It's one or the other. So if you have a factory fill of HOAT type, stick with the zerex.

 

Just changed mine with g-05. Holds 12. Get 8+ out. Did it three times with distilled water. Plug is easy to get out.

My 2005 is a red convertible with one year old top - 72,000 - best driving car I've ever driven and I'm 63.

Just curious if anyone ever sells their car on here ..?
