This thread is funny looking back at it, it's from 2003.

Yes, it's funny how the perspective has changed. If the passion that exists today for the car were prominent then, it might still be in production. I also wonder if the idea of the car was to be a loss leader from the beginning! Lucky for us!!

TIL there was a 4-door concept of this car. The Airflite would have been a slick looking vehicle

I wonder how many of those first buyers still have their Crossfire? I bet within a year or two they were on to the next "cool" car. I waited for the roadster: ordered it in 11/2004 and drove it off the lot in 4/2005. I received a nice supplier discount and plus two cash incentives. I think I saved over $3k on msrp.

I got my '04 in late '05 and I got a $11,000 discount. I should have waited and saved even more, but what the heck it only had 30 miles on the clock.

Purchased my 2004 Coupe in late November of 2004 for 21,000.00..had 800 miles on the clock. I actually did not "fall in love" with it until I was introduce to this club in 2013 ( I think)... could not be without it now!!!...Carl

I picked up my 04 brand new on April 1st. 2005, after winning it on an EPAY auction for $21,700.00.
I fell in love with the car on the 9 hour trip home from the dealer in Kentucky.
Finding out about the forum 5 months later was like discovering a really great option the car came with that wasn't listed on the window sticker.

Picked mine up off a dealers used car line in '05. Once I showed them what it was I had to wait an extra 1/2 hour after detailing for the manager to check it out on a test drive. 10 years later I still look back at it as I walk away.
As for a blast from the past...i guess I always had a thing for strong shouldered rides, my three favorite cars ever!!!
