Recently I've been detailing my newly purchased 05 Roadster Ltd. Today I finished the interior and put the top back up to vacuum the trunk. I noticed a 5" diameter hole in the back of the passenger/trunk compartment bulkhead that is open and has 2 electrical plug-ins. This hole is slightly to the driver's side and appears to have had a cover that is now missing. Are the connections for the gas tank senders? Thanks...Newbie Jim

 

Pictures to verify, but I think you are correct. Gas tank sender connections.

That IS the gas level sending unit.

 

Thanks for the info. Seems strange to me that the electrical connections would not be protected. Oh well!
