head unit displaying TEMP

Smile head unit displaying TEMP

Hi All

great to be with all the xfire owners!!

Ive got an issue with the standard fitted infinity head unit, when i turn it on its displaying temp, it plays the radio but then radio shuts off!!

can any one help with this and give me an idea of what it could be

As I recall, the fan in the RCM/Relay box under the bonnet blows through a rubber tube into the audio amplifier under the floormat on the passenger side (US).

You can remove the top of the RCM/Relay box and look down to see the fan turning, or not.....

Known problem in the SLK.

What is the temperature? Never heard this before.

I think he means it is displaying "TEMP", not the actual temperature.

Marks fix should reset the radio or as he says its toast no matter the TEMP.
