Default OEM Key Sale $484.80

I just ordered a OEM key from www.remotesandkeys.com for $484.80 + shipping $3.88+ $488.68

Waaaay less than anyone else that I can find!

You need to provide copy registration, drivers license and photograph of current mileage. Key is ordered directly from Chrysler.

I placed order yesterday, sent in required documentation and should receive key in approximately two weeks.

Will let everyone know whenI receive it!!!

That's where I bought my spare key from, about 7 years ago. Worked perfectly.

I called the dealership where I bought my car. I told them I needed a second key. Of course the charge from Chrysler is $581 before tax. I asked the service rep if the new key needed any programming. He told me that it would and the cost is $65. My question here is, is this the deal where you press any button on the fob twice and within 30 seconds put it in the ignition and cycle it to run?

I ordered my key from this company with exception customer service AND much cheaper than dealer: https://www.remotesandkeys.com/produ...flipkey-remote for $484 and that included programming! I had to send my registration, my driver's license and a photograph of my speedometer.

The only hitch is that I hear that keys are backordered from source until November so i have a feeling that the dealer will have the same issue because this is a dealer wide issue. Although I ordered my key from www.remoteandkeys, the keys came from Chrysler, but sent my remoteandkeys. Do Not order from dealer and be ripped of!!!!!

So did you need to have it programmed like the service rep told me or did everything work straight away?
I'm guessing the answer is yes as someone else stated that it worked right out of the box. I'm assuming the door locks worked too?

No need to program. Took key out of package, inserted into ignition and everything worked perfectly!

Ok, thanks for the verification. Since I first saw this thread I contacted this seller via online chat. Very difficult to get a straight answer about placing an order and asking when my card would be charged since these keys are not yet (if ever) available. I was looking for a simple answer, now or when the key ships. Instead, the answer was that we "capture" the funds for a week to see if we are going to keep the money and then it is held by the credit card company until the key ships. After a half hour of online chat; I still couldn't get the answer I was looking for; charged now or later, so I gave up on that. I then told him that my carfax shows that my ignition switch had been replaced and all locks re-coded in 2011. He then told me that they couldn't sell me a key since the locks had been "un-coded". I said OK, if you're certain you cannot sell me a key I'd have to buy it from a dealership. He then tells me the new key would open my locks but not start the car after he told me they couldn't sell the key. I just gave up.. I called the dealership where I bought the car and asked the parts lady about the carfax report. She told me that if the ignition switch had been replaced it would be from Mercedes who have the VIN records and that it would be exactly the same switch and the OEM key would work. She also told me that since the switch had been replaced the computer(s) had to be recoded to the new switch, hence, the carfax report. I'm inclined to believe her because of all the people I have spoken with, she seemed to be the most knowledgeable and intelligent. I'm convinced that I don't do a very good job explaining myself because of the incredible confusion with these folks. Especially the service managers. Like I stated above, the service manager from the same place stated the new key would have to be programmed. I don't believe him just like I should not have believed another service manager that assured me any Mercedes key with the same part and rfid numbers would be programmable to my car..
