A/C blower stops
Hi everyone!
So I have been fighting this issue for a while now. About 2 years ago my blower stopped working. At the time I ordered a new one, aftermarket part. Worked fine for another year. Then it stopped again. At that point I determined the blower resistor was faulty and so I go one after researching on the forum. Supplier was a common one on here. That worked fine till two days ago when a/c stopped working. After looking into it I thought the blue wire that blogs into the resistor kept slipping out. I taped it in place with electrical tape and it seemed to work for two days but a/c cut out on me and stopped working again today.
So after checking into it I'm almost suspecting the red and blue wire to be at fault because if I mess with them and just shake on them, the a/c turns on.
Both wires seem super tight and so maybe the wires are broken? Has anyone had this before? I assume there wouldn't be a fix but to purchase a new resistor as the wires are attached to that?
Has anyone had issues and what is a quality supplier to buy a resistor? What was the culprit if your a/c stopped working randomly?
Thanks for any input guys! It's heat prime time in Florida and no funeed at all to ride around town with a button down without air

Quality supplier: The OEM resistor is available at fcpeuro.com for $125; parts have Lifetime Replacement Guarantee
Use Mercedes 2003, SLK 320 when looking for part.

Thank you both for the replies. I am thinking it probably is a bad solder joint. I'm most likely going to take a look at the wires again but will order the original part so I don't have to mess with aftermarket crap anymore lol.
