Default Rough starting after replacing camshaft position sensor

I replaced camshaft position sensor today and everything worked normal after installation. Went out to go to store after a hour or so. When trying to start, the engine motor boated (tried to start, but never fully got running). Turned key to off, waited a minute and car started just fine. Next time I tried to start it same scenario. Any ideas as to what is causing this?

Did you install a Bosch CPS? A lot of the other brands do not work properly.

Can the new CPS cause this kind of issue? I guess I could reinstall the old one to see if issue resolves itself.

Re-installed original CPS. Problem resolved. Looks like I got a defective CPS. Time to return it for a refund or replacement.
