Default Non crank issue

New owner 05 coupe No problems for 2 weeks running lots of errands so many starts, hopped in it today, and no crank, battery good, ran jumper from neg post to alternator bracket to eliminate a ground strap issues, no error on odometer, all lights come on and I can hear fuel pump. Starter was replaced a few months ago by the dealer. Of course it's parked 30 feet from the garage in wet cold gravel. When you go to start position I think you can see/hesr the radiator fan spool up to high odd. Starter relay or stuck key not turning far enough? Can I probe the starter relay, and where is it? Auto trans so stuck in park.

No crank and radiator fan spooling up are sure signs of a RCM issue.
Search for "mystery no start", or send it to tighed1 for repair.

Yep, I agree, RCM problem. I would buy a new one, they aren't too expensive, and then send your old one to tighed1 and have it rebuilt for a spare.

Thanks for the assistance, now I know what the rcm looks like I will pull it out and resolder tomorrow. Radiator fan must be on a nc relay so fails safe with contacts closed and running. Car has 75k so I may check into a new rcm, and send the old one to linesd for refurbish. No internet at the shop and cell service even outside the metal building sucks at best. And search function is limited.

If the soldering doesn't do it that means the engine control relay is bad.
As mentioned, I can replace it. Email me at tighed1@hotmail.com for details.

Got the module out resolder, drug a piece 320 grit thru the points on the relay next to firewall that were burnt several times. Slapped back in and it fired right up. At least I got it into the garage. Will decide on new vs rebuilt. Thanks to many.
