Morning all, hope you are keeping well under the current worldwide health issues.
I am currently in lockdown, so decided to give the Xfire its first spring clean. I however found the following item on the floor in the drivers footwell.
Its approx 1" square, black plastic and looks like a switch or button cover. The reverse is moulded as if it is meant to clip/fasten onto something.
I have checked all locations but have not found anywhere where this piece could have come from. The only work done on the car was to replace the footbrake switch last year. I have also checked the Xfire parts lists, but again unable to see this item referenced. Anybody with any ideas / suggestions?
In my personal opinion that plastic part does not belong to the Crossfire. It appears to me to be a port cover for something electronic.
Given the clue that a technician worked on the car for something electronic it very well could have come from a scanner device he was using. Nothing like that on the Chrysler Starscan, or DRB III, but the Starmobile has similar but different port covers. It could very have been some other brand scanner.
There could be another possiblity, maybe the technician was using some kind of portable worklight/power pack with a Lithium Ion batteries, and that was a cover for the recharge port which may have included both a round plug and a USB connection.

Hi all.
Finally found out what the piece of plastic was that I found in the footwell earlier in the year. It was part of the dash-cam that i had fitted 3-4 years ago. Why it decided to fall of after years and years and not after the first few weeks I suppose I will never know.
