Answer: Because the owner has no idea what the car needs, all he knows is, he doesn't know what to do but sell it.
So the question is - does it run? Does it start? How bad off is it?
Find out and get back to us and we can go from there.

.
As with ANY used car buy, GET A MECHANIC (preferably a European or German mechanic) to go over it facia to facia (like a bumper to bumper), and using his/her report, negotiate a buy (or not).

I own a 2005 Roadster. As many on the Forum know I had a problem - finally corrected after many months of non-operation - due to a problem with one small module - the MB designed SKREEM module. Lots of info on that on other threads on the Forum. Anyway, today I read this article in my daily Hemmings email, and it explains a lot about why it was so difficult to repair my car and why the OEM (Chrysler then Daimler Chrysler and now FCA) was so unhelpful. I think every Crossfire owner should read this - just so if something happens you'll understand what the situation really is...

If the car doesn't start it may not be the battery. Caveat Emptor.

If you can research and fix stuff, just buy it and deal with any existing issues. If you can't fix stuff, might not be a good car to buy even if it's in good condition now.
