So far all the tips received have not corrected the issue with my OEM stereo unit. Ordered an aftermarket unit along with a Crossfire factory stereo to aftermarket stereo harness adapter. I should have everything within a couple of days. Just easier (& considerably cheaper) to switch to an aftermarket version rather than try to get the OEM unit repaired by a local shop that specializes in that sort of thing.
