2nd time the wife took the car out she wanted to changed the CD so while I was moving the seat back to get in & ready to start the car, shes changing the CD. We get going & nothing !! Every time we press the on button the chrysler word appears & nothing else happens !! Start pressing every button on the dash & still nothing !!! Then I get the manaul out read some where about shutting the car off & pressing the radio on button with in 3 seconds off shutting the car off !!! Dam it works radio comes back on CD works !! I dont know why or how it happened just glad it came back on !!!! When all else fails read the manaul !!!! Anyone know why & how the radio would just shut down ?????????

 

Mine did something similar, the "brain" of the Radio just gets confused (as far as I can tell, probably running MICROSOFT software in it!)

I ended up pulling the radio right out of the dash and unplugging all the connectors and leaving it dead for abotu a minute. Came back up just fine.

 

My radio had a few moments like this over the years. I just eject the cd and put it back in. Never thought much about it. I ended up putting a Blaupunkt in anyway and my factory radio is sitting in a box. Maybe one day I will put it back in but I love the aux jack on the new radio

 

Man I love this website! that happened to me a couple of days ago and now I now what to do.
