There is a catch, 0w40 or 5w40 are not part of the rebate. When you try to do the rebate online it makes you choose what oil you bought and those are not part of it. The mail in rebate says any full synthetic but they won't cover 0w40 or 5w40, I already went through this with them.

0W-40 & 5W-40 are Mobil1 European Car Formula Full Synthetic oils / Yes they are included in the rebate offering . . . Look for the picture!

Trust me I already applied for this rebate and got denied. I've talked to them on the phone. Only select full synthetic oils are accepted, no 0w40 or 5w40.

I just filled out another online rebate to see what is going on. When you get the the "Products Purchased" section the European Car Formula 5 qt jug is is the last picture on the bottom right. Click on that, then on the next page choose 0W40 or 5W40 whatever you purchased. Upload your receipt and submit the rebate. It should to through . . .

You are right! They lied to me when I called and I didn't see that other picture for the European formula. Thank you for your help.

Of course it is back again - I did mine back about two months ago.

But as I posted elsewhere, I got Mobile 1 5W40 Euro (229.3) for same price as 0W40 - a first for me, ever!

Well . . . This new Mobil1 rebate program just began with purchases made on / after April 1st . . . Also the 0W40 and the 5W40 are BOTH European Car Formula full synthetic oils and they are always priced the same. I think "someone" might be a bit confused.

You're welcome . . . As I have to often remind my wife when she discovers AGAIN that I am right about something or other . . . "That's my curse" . . .

Are use this rebate last fall with no issues. Walmart seem to have the best prices I could find. 12 quarts for just under $50 and the 5 quart jugs were under $23… Possibly under $20 each. I have enough on the shelf for 2.5 oil changes and don’t expect to be putting many miles on the car so I probably won’t be buying more for the crossfire with this rebate.
