Default Obdii

Scanners won’t read my OBDII. I checked all the fuses and everything seems to be working just fine. Any ideas where to check or what to do. Also my BAS/ESP is on.

My BAS/ESP light came on first and I tried to use the scanner that’s when I found out my OBDII wasn’t working and I check all the fuses and all the fuse location and everything seems good and now my check engine light came on and I can’t use a scanner

To try to clear the BAS/ESP, start the car, turn the steering wheel as far to the left it will go then as far to the right it will go and the back to center, wheels straight. turn it off for a minute or two and when you restart it the light should be off. You need a scanner that works on Mercedes as these cars are basicly a 2004 Mercedes SLK 320.
