Sorry if this has been posted elsewhere, I didn't find exact evidence of this idea ....
Saw this shot posted on a Crossfire for sale in Nevada (Facebook). It looks pretty well executed, with actual cups to hold the drinks and a Crossfire logo etched in. Is this available somewhere or is this a one off?
Thanks in advance for all information. I want this cupholder solution! Anyone know who makes this???
Looks nice, and seems solid BUT if any liquid, even water, gets into the shift lever of an automatic transmission you will be replacing that shift lever assembly. Most do not follow my advice which is to never eat or drink in a Crossfire. You are just asking for trouble.
Yup! You said it all ZIP. I wonder how many XF owners spent BIG $ when their drinks in that silly pop-up holder spilled into the auto transmission shifter bay. I won't even go with one of the slide-in side-mount drink holders that one can wedge in between the passenger seat and the center column. There are plenty of awesome beverage containers that have spouts and can be tossed on the passenger seat. Have a passenger with you? Those containers can reside in the foot wells or the center storage unit with the top popped up it hasn't been crammed full of crap.

Thanks for these replies! Does the dire warning about fluid in the auto trans linkage apply to manuals as well? I think I'll be getting the wedge style holder since my wife doesn't take up a lot of space riding shotgun.

No. Just the auto transmission that I am aware of.
Buy BOTH cupholders. Then go nuts and end up stopping at EVERY rest stop on the road! After all you only live once and Crossfire vendors need our support.
Just that you must be a member of the group to see.
Gotcha. Thanks for letting me know. (as I'm sure you already understand) that's where they placed their cup-holder ad and it's a private group, meaning people must join the group to peek inside. That's just the way it is and I can't do anything about it.
My issue with most Crossfire cup holder solutions is they are too close to my manual shifter.
My rather easy fix was to stick the kids old booster seat on the passenger seat. It has two cup holders on there, just far enough away to prevent accidentally knocking down a drink. I can take it out and hide it in the trunk when not in use.
