Default Driving Comfort

All, this is a general question regarding long distance ridding comfort and an update on my personal situation.
1) I am switching cities from Columbia to Rock Hill. Mostly because my formal employer moved my job to china to a Chinese engineer. I finally got a new job doing embedded work in the medical field. Rock Hill SC is the city of the crappy streets. I spend 12 hours away from my personal life and can't lurk on the forum at work. I drive 3 hours every day in my little commuter car.

2) The week before I took my blaze red roadster up to the mountains for a wedding held near Jefferson NC. It was fun in the mountains. However I had to stop after an hour and half as I get a hard pain in my right leg. I don't get the support for my legs in the crossfire as I do in my commuter car.

Any suggestions on how to improve comfort? While I enjoy the short trips in the fun car for dates, I also like the long trips to the mountains. I don't want to sell my car, but if I can't improve my comfort I will have too.

Suggestions Go!

Walmart has a selection of air inflated seat cushions. You might want to give that a try.

Turn on the heated seats, just might help. Get out and walk around can also offer instant relief, particularly for muscle issues. Try different sitting postures, also adjusting the seat height to prevent hip stress.
Prolonged Static Position -whether in a car or on the couch takes some recovery time!

Maybe seat covers with more padding. Those seats in a limited are as hard as rocks.
You can go the crazy route and switch the leather seats for cloth base seats, but you'll lose the heating option.
I drove 9 hours to Ohio in my base roadster, stopped halfway for about 40 minutes for lunch. No real problems and I have an injured back, neck and right leg.

Tank Dude! Long time no talk. The only reason you survived that journey, a crossfire will be more comfortable than any tank. LOL

So here is the latest update on my car and situation. I drove about 4 days back and forth to work while my commuter stayed up on jack stands while parts arrived from Rocky Ruto. (rock auto). I did buy a seat cushion and that helped a bunch. Thanks @zip439 for the suggestion. I got a memory foam seat from Amazon.

Now here is the kicker to the story. I was going on a date and what better car to drive than the crossfire. I got the car warmed for my girlfriend who was LATE to my house for our formal dance of the year. As soon as she pulled up the F'ng stearing wheel key lock happen. I could not roll up the windows. We got to dance and it rained that night. I got home and the damn car was flooded. The next day I vacuum and cleaned the car. No biggie.

I finally did the steering wheel key stuck instructions and got that thing fixed. The pin was very much stuck and it took much cussing and swearing to get the damn thing out.

A couple of days later, I drove the 81 miles to work with the crossfire but the cruise control would not engage above 60 mph. If I can't use the cruise control, I can't rest my leg and it's making it hard to keep the crossfire. Any suggestions on the issue? Maybe a bad speed sensor?

As zip439 mentioned, it might be a bad brake light switch. It could be a faulty clock spring or check for a blown fuse. Maybe throw a scanner on it and see if anything pops up.

With all these CAN buss computers, and possibilities of a defective ground (anywhere), any mechanic would be at a disadvantage with a diagnosis/repair (even with a great 'scan tool') is touchy at best. Couple that with the fact our cars are aging (currently 19 to 23 years), it isn't a wonder why it is very hard to fix. My first thought (in the OP case) would be a burned out bulb in the cluster, but after the other posts I see it just isn't that simple (not so simple wiring harness/interaction of the modules). It'll take trial and error without using the manual and the star system created for this hybrid between Chrysler & Mercedes Benz. Good luck with your fix!

Well trial and error fixed it. I took it out last week and boom the cruise worked at 75. It was a short burst on the hwyway. I might drive it tonight. I have made my move to rock hill and I don't have computers there or internet so my responses have been S L O O O W. Sorry. Thanks for all the help.
