Oil Leak
Took the XFire into the dealer today for the tranny "O" ring leak, so I thought. Went back at the end of the day and found it was the oil pressure/sending unit that was seeping. Part is at the depot in Dallas (they have one!) and should be done tomorrow. I am skeptical as it appeared to me the leakage on the belly was red...hmmm. And, the kicker is, DC will pay for the oil since they drop the pan, but will not pay for the filter under warranty.
First problem in over 19,000 miles, so I can't complain unless they fix the wrong thing. Pays to check the undercarriage pan once in awhile while cleaning the engine compartment.

Makes sense that they will not give you a filter.
You can swap it out with a new one when you get the car back and have 7,000 miles to go.
Good luck with the repair, hope they got it right.
