So on my way to school...
So I'm on my way to school and an SRT-8 pulls up next to me, he gives me the nod because I am in the 67 Riviera, and as he pulls away I notice that he has fender skirts on his rear wheels. I haven't seen skirts on any car newer than....I don't even know! They had to be aftermarket and they looked good, how do you think a Crossfire would look with them on, I think they would look great.

But appearance wise I'm sure it looks great.
It was actually quite common for me to see those on people's winter cars up in the north east. Kept from slinging salt/snow/ice all over their cars. However I too don't recall seeing those down here in TX for years.
Neither, back in the day there were fender skirts, not side skirts/mud flaps, or fender flares. These were pieces of metal that went over the rear wheels and cut off the view till about halfway down.. Let me see if I can find a picture. In the mean time think of an old caddy or lincoln, they usually had fender skirts.

I hated fender skirts in the 50's, and my opinion has never changed.

Maybe it would look good if it stayed inline with the original body contours. Fiiled in to the bottom edge of the car. Probably not though. It would have to be on a super, custom, tricked out Crossfire. Someone should do a photoshop.
Oh heck, why stop at the rear.
Who needs wheelwells anyway.
Just think of the money you'll save on fancy wheels.
