Walmart has Fram oil filters
Well I just got a lesson on buying oil filters from the dealer $35 for a OEM Benz filter, never again. I found Walmart has Fram oil filters for the crossfire including the new "O" rings for $11.44.. Huge price difference and they also carry Mobil O-W-40 as well $6.25 a quart.
fram filters are the biggest pieces of ***** on the planet
I've lost 2 motors to fram.
you can get the bosch filter from autozone for 13, its an oem benz filter too, fleece, orings and all

Also the Napa gold, about 17.00$

With regard to the oil, try Pep Boys - Think they have a sale going on for M1. http://www.bobistheoilguy.com/forums...49#Post1799849

Bosch, Mann, Hummel, and Purolator are all part of the same group. In 2005 Bosch entered into a joint venture with Mann+Hummel. Then in 2006, they purchased Purolator from ArvinMeritor. So that is why Purolator filters for the Crossfire will typically be labeled Mann.
Notwithstanding that fleece filters are questionably better, and can be found at a lower price than whatb we have seen, I have had absolutely zero problems with a Fram filter, using them almost exclusively since I was 18 in a 1973 AMC Gremlin. that was my most fun car before the Cross, and maybe the 75 Nova SS. But the Frams have been fione now for lo on 35 years in all my cars.

While they will not rdestroy an engine, there have been problems (canister type especially). Splitting seams, cheap cardboard "valves" that quickly fail, rubber seals the fall off, and colapsing filter material. Simply just not worth the risk on a car you care about.
