Default LED License plate lights

I just installed cool white LED bulbs on my car tonight. The problem is that my bulb out indicator is still on. I installed this resistor with it
Load Resistor Kits

It's a 25 watt, 25 ohm resistor and I put one on each light right after the socket. I first put them in line and that didn't work so I switched it and put them with one side of resistor on positive and one on negative and the light is still on. I then put the old bulbs back in and the light went out again so I am now lost. Any help would be appreciated

Did you guys use the same resistors? I'm an idiot and when the resistor was on the positive line I cut the wire in between the resistor. I thought that that was the problem so I have to do some soldering anyways. I'll go try solder one of them now and see if that fixes it.

Soldering worked. I took off the connectors and they were fine on the resistor's wire, but on the light's wires, they didn't even penetrate the insolation and so where completely pointless. I soldered one end of the resistor onto the positive wire, right after the socket, and soldered the other end of the resistor onto the negative wire, right after the socket. I did this on both license plate lights where I installed LEDs and now my burnt out light indicator is off. On a different note, I changed my interior lights to LED's too and bought a couple different colors. I had UV, but I didn't like the look in the interior so I gave it to my friend and the bulb just happened to fit his license plate light on his black rx8. The UV looks really good shining on the license plate, at night it still lights up the plate but just looks really good. If someone wants to try that on their crossfire, I'm sure they would get similar results.

I would like to do the LED's on my my side marker lights...what resistor would I need to solder in line to keep the "light out" indicator off?
