Default Valve covers leaking/Needswings need gaskets?

So my valve covers are leaking. No telling how long but it does explain why im a quart or two short from time to time when im due for the next oil change.

So...heres the decision I need help with. Should I just buy the gaskets from needswings for $45....or should I get the new red ones from needswings $550? Has anyone got new covers from there? And did you need/get the gaskets as well?

FYI I just got laid off before the holiday weekend.....

What should I do family?

See what is the minimum amount of money that has to be spent to fix the problem. Who knows how long you'll be out of work.

If I am not working, I think the red ones can wait. Is it the valve covers or the smaller rocker covers on top of the valve covers? If the smaller ones on top, use RTV and seal those yourself. No gaskets required. If they are leaking two quarts between changes, you have a severe leak my friend. And a stinky one. Knowing Rob at Needswings, I am sure he will help you out on a set of gaskets in your situation...

Why would he give a discount to him?
You should not suggest that as he may add the loss to your next invoice.
