Have a look at this thread...

If you haven't already done it, it's got to be worth $10, prior to spending $120!!!

Quite a few members are raving about it - I have it planned in the next couple of weeks.

Yep. Save your money and do Pelked1's mod. You won't need the Dynamat.

I walked out of Radio Shack $13.49 poorer but increased the sound quality of my stock system immensely. pelked1 did some great research and posted some nice walk-thru's. Others too have contributed good info on different frequencies that the caps will cut off ... definitely worth a read and the $$.

As to the mats ... IMO, my XF is so quiet sitting inside that the stereo sounds awesome, and even cranked, windows up it's not that loud outside.

If dynamat is what you are asking is worth the expense, the answer is absolutely. I would suggest using more than a 10"x10" square however. I have the inside of my doors completely covered with dynamat, and only use the Extreme, and the knock off brands DO NOT work as well, as I have used many of them. Dynamat is the BEST for automotive sound deadening materials. This is why you see them cover the interior of the cars on OVERHAULIN. Dynamat does wonders for your sound system.
