Default Audible notification Crossfire is locked??

I was wondering if this is just me or is this normal ...

When locking my XF the lights flash to indicate that it's locked but there is no audible notification. On all other cars I've owned, there was some sort of 'chirp' 'honk' or something. If you lock the XF and you're on the side it's difficult to see the lights flash in the day. Also if you're at some distance in a crowded parking lot you can't tell the lights flashed.

I'm just curious if that's normal or if it was disabled.

Thanks in advance to all replies,
adoni

My roadster does not beep either. I've seen it listed or commented on before. There is no audible horn honk. I do hear the doors lock when I push the button, but that's because I'm listening for it. The lights do flash, but it's probably best to check to make sure the doors are locked. Kind of a quirk that was overlooked. Maybe in Germany, they don't need the audible sound...who knows???
