Default Stereo Search

I posted a stereo question on the main Coupe forum (along with some other questions), but I thought I'd repost it here also since this is a more appropriate place.

I'm looking for an aftermarket head unit that meets the following criteria:

1) Silver color that matches the dash.

2) Variable color display, so that I can adjust it to match the factory green color used everywhere else. (A non-adjustable green display that matches would be fine, too, but I figured that was unlikely and lots of manufacturers seem to be using the variable displays.)

3) Available iPod controller.

4) Available XM radio.

I can find the first three with the JVC KD-LHX550 that some else on here has and I really like the looks of that one. But JVC uses Sirius instead of XM, and the particular program my wife and I want to hear is on XM.

I don't need a NAV system, or the ability to play DVD's or anything like that. I just want to be able to have XM and my iPod without using an FM adapter.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks!!!

Grant

Sony CDX-MP70

I have it and I love it. ipod with the aux in, XM ready, silver color matches the dash and the **** design is just like the stock layout. Just make sure you mount it with a silver bezel. It also has variable colors for the display.

Look at the photo from "gibsonjunkie". He installed a Pioneer DEPH-4800 and it has just what you’re looking for. Check the specs/photos at: crutchfield.com.

That's perfect! It meets all my requirements. XM. iPod. Green Lights. Silver finish.

Thanks!

The Pioneer 4800 does have a green light that matches pretty well. They have an adapter for either sirius or XM and an iPod adapter - they all plug in to the same port and you can control them all from the head unit. I'll be getting the 12 disk changer soon.

Here's the photo again...

I should take one at night to get the lighting effect...
