Speaker phone?
The owner's manual mentions the capability to run your wireless phone through the radio system so that the phone plays through the speakers. Considering that the manual takes 10 pages to explain how to lock and unlock the car, I wish they'd have given a little detail on how this cool phone feature works. Have any of you done this? Does it work with any cellular phone? How? Do you have to buy any non-standard equipment?
Hopefully someone who uses this function answers us.
In my manual it's on page 119. It just says "If a telephone with hands-free operation is installed, the call is routed through the speaker system" and goes on from there. It doesn't say how to install it or what kind of equipment is needed.
If no one answers for awhile I might post it to one of the larger forums, like coupe, because I think more people read those.

Do a search. There are a couple people that have done it. You have to purchase the wiring from Becker (www.beckerautosound.com) that plugs into the back of the radio. You then need a car kit for your phone that will plug into the wiring supplied by Becker.
I am using that feature. It is awesome. I have a Bluetooth Razor cell phone which works perfect with my system. I purchased a Motorola IHF-1000 system along with the special wiring harness that plugs into the back of our Infinity radio head unit. I mounted the small keypad to the left of the steering wheel just above the air vent. It looks like it came as a factory option. When a call comes in, the radio mutes and the radio display says "PHONE"... the call comes through the crossfire speakers and I mounted the tiny mic by the overhead dome light. If anyone wants more information on this, let me know. I'd be happy to discuss it with you. It's a great feature that everyone envys when they ride in my car.

The wiring harness that ties it into the back of the radio is sold by Becker of North America. When you call them, just tell them that you need the wiring plug for a crossfire bluetooth handsfree setup. They are the company that manufactures the radios for MB and our crossfires. I think the plug was around $19.00. I am out of town right now and I'm using a very slow dial up connection so I can't upload pictures. I'll be back home on Tuesday and I'll upload them as soon as I get back. Let me know if you have any other questions about it. You'll love the setup if you decide to go with it.
