Default Harmon and Karpod install

I installed my Harmon and Karpod ipod controller the other day. So far I have just done the basic install, placing the pieces. Now I have to get the drill out and poke some holes so it will look like a clean install.

This is the Harmon and Karpod Drive+Play ipod controller, I will post some pics tonight. its amazing, and works flawlessly. and the colors go well with my interior.

Any one else installed one of these?

Yea man, its nice, I have my wires just hanging also, but I have not figured out where I want to hard wire the power to, so for now I just have it plugged into the cig lighter. Where did you mount the LCD and remote? I am going to see if there is a way I can just hide the wires. If not I will get to drilling.

Guys,

How did you connect it to the CD?

I have an Infinity Modulus system installed in my car. It has spare connections in the back but nobody at Chrysler or Harmon Kardon knows what they are for and how to activate them.

the system I have is not for a CD, it connects with a cord to the ipod, which I leave in the glove box the LCD I have mounted shows the screen of the ipod, and the controller works just like an ipod touch controller. its more for convenience., and to play it threw the infinity sound system, I used the wireless FM transmitter that is built in to the unit. I am able to change the station and match it for the best sound. ya know if I go to a new area and that station is being used, i just change it.

Thanks for the update.

That's what I was planning to do too, but I work a couple of hundred miles from home and have heard that the FM reception around London Heathrow is pathetic, so I wanted to see if I could hardwire it into the CD auxiliaries? Has anyone had any success with doing this?

Regards,
Billy

99.999% sure you can't.

Take a look at my gallery, I placed the LCD on top of the dash, and the remote near the shifter. They were the best places I could find for them, it is a nice fit, just not that passenger friendly.

I'm using an auxiliary input from a new headunit that I purchased. The FM quality isn't the greatest imo.
