Default Crutchfield Stereo Install Mastersheet

Does anybody have the Crutchfield Stereo Install Mastersheet for the Chrysler Crossfire? I want to see what's in it.

I have it. It covers replacing the head unit, the large door speakers (not the tweeters), and the rear speakers. It says nothing about the amplifier or wiring. There's nothing in there that isn't in this forum or the service manual. It does have some nice photographs that are easier to decipher than the line drawings in the service manual but the information is the same.

Can you scan or something as a reference for the forums?

Believe it or not, I think other users will find that very helpful.

That actually really is good information. I wasn't actually looking for that info, but I'm glad it's here. I was wondering how to remove the Plastic top section of the "wall" as i want to cover it in Suede to match the seats.

I thought the absence of any information about upgrading the factory amp was telling. If anybody would have figured out how to do it, it would have been Crutchfield.

This is a very old thread but Crutchfield also has sheet named "Receiver Wiring Adaptor." I bought my system from them a good while back and just now got around to installing. Still working on it, so can't comment on success or issues. But here's the other sheet, if anybody needs it.

If you use those RCA outputs, you are going to be disappointed. The Factory amp is designed for speaker level drive, and that is a level specification as well as an impedance specification.

Thanks for the info! Crutchfield sent two different harnesses for some reason. At lunch, I quickly hooked up the one with RCA connectors but plan to try the other tomorrow. Running the mic cable was a challenge. There was also a second USB connection on the rear but I saw no easy way of routing it out to a usable location.

I have a Sony and the RCA outputs are 5V. Are they okay or do I need to wire differently? I thought I saw that 4V was enough.

I always thought 4 volts was enough, it's the 2-3 volt ones that are really weak on volume.

Volume seems fine. I ordered capacitors for the speaker mod and they arrived yesterday. I hope that gets the sound closer to what I want. I'd really like to do the four channel re-wire but not sure if I'll get around to it or not. I'd guess it's tough to feed up to the receiver. The Sony has a rear USB cable in addition to the one on front. I'd like to run that to an accessible location but I haven't found an easy place to get it through yet. I had a rough time feeding the mic cable but finally managed it. That's a tight little area with little in the way of openings unless I'm overlooking something (which wouldn't be a huge surprise).

I have a old Alpine IDA-X001 with the rear USB, I just ran it under the console and brought it out by the driver's seat.
I have a large thumb drive it it, so don't access it very often.
