Default Any Ideas? Aftermarket radio install...

I installed my new radio last night and powered it up and got no sound. So I disconnected everything and started over, same results. I've checked all over the Audio, Video thread info and haven't been able to figure out a solution. I have a Pioneer 880 deck, Scosche VW01B harness and Metra 40-EU10. One thing that I've noticed is that I came up one wire short.

There was no wire for me to connect the ACC wire from the Pioneer deck, so I coupled it with Battery wire from my deck (without this, the deck would not power up). Now both the ACC and Battery wire from my deck are connected to the Ignition wire from the Scosche.

Any ideas? Any kind of help is appreciated.

Do you have a pink wire coming from your schose harness? That should connect to the blue amp turn on wire.. most of us that installed aftermarket radios had the same problem.

If not, please tell us what was!

For future reference in case anyone else runs into the same error - they can have a solution instead of "it was taken care of"

(No disrespect!)

You can cut off the "important" piece. Just connect the two wires and you'll be set with sound. No need to bypass anything.

DID IT! sorry, first time hooking up a system and thought the blue/white wire labeled "remote" actually had something to do with the remote control that operates the system. now i know its for the remote amp! thanks for your help guys!

pink wire + blue/white wire = SOUND!
