i was behind a slk 32 the other day and noticed they had a very short antenna - like a stubby. does anyone know if this antenna would fit our cars? and if so, would it help or hurt reception? if it fits and doesn't retard reception, i want one.

[it was from my phone so it's a small pic but if you look real close, you can see it. comes up and stops 1/2 thru the side mirror]

 

My roadster has lousy am reception to begin with and I just tried a shorty and it was worse...

That looks really interesting. Anything would be better than what is on my Roadster. It was repaired once on a TSB and got better for a while but it is just as as before, now.
