Default Factory Head Unit Broken?

I got into my car today, and tried to turn on the radio. No matter what I do and what buttons I press it remains stuck at the words "CHRYSLER". It powers on and off fine, and the eject button works also (thought it was a bad cd). I jump started it a few weeks ago, but the radio has been working fine until now..

Detatch and remove the entire unit (use the "special" key) and check the rear wire connections. One just may have come losse (It happened to me). Good luck.

P.S. If you're not still under warranty and need to purchase a new unit let me know. I have a OEM and OEM Nav unit you can have cheap. Cya Chas

If you can't get it working let me know, I may be interested in the broken deck for parts for my deck, the prev. owner melted the multifunction keys with a cleaner (I think he used a spray tuner cleaner he said). I have been looking at other options as well and found the Blaupunkt is a direct wire in, no harness or cutting wires.

I guess it just needed some time to reset or something, I turned it on today and it worked like a charm.

Had this happen twice. Pull out both radio fuses under the hood and put them back in. this resets the radio.
