Default need help with Kenwood KVT-512

Just got the 512 unit from Crutchfield today with a VW wiring harness adapter. I got the pink wire hooked up to the power amp on for the Kenwood, but I get no sound from the rear speakers at all. I also tried to set up in the menu but it has a lock symbol on the audio setup menu and won't let me turn on the sub. Anyone ever installed this unit in a 04 and had success?

Call Crutchfield Customer Service. They will help with ANY problems you might have.

P.S. If you have a base model, there are no rear speakers, I think.

I called them and they said as far as it sounded everything was hooked up right. They suggested that maybe the fuse for the rear speakers was blown, but I swapped back in the factory head unit and it works like normal. I thought about swapping the antenna power lead on the aftermarket harness and seeing if that worked.
