Question Well, I finally ordered one of these...

The radio reception in my Roadster is so bad I never listen to the radio. I like talk radio when I'm on the road but AM reception has been intolerable. The dealer did perform a TSB on the antenna mount, but it only helped a bit and only temporarily. I'm hoping this antenna will give me better reception than the static and noise I get now.

Blaupunct Antenna

Anybody ever use one?

That's interesting. Says vandal proof... Does it mount inside? Looks like you will be needing a EURO-to-US adapter unless it comes with one?

It glues to the inside of the windshield. I already have a Pioneer deck mounted so I'm covered with the adapter.

The kit came in - looks like it will work out really well, but has a rather involved installation. Will wait until Saturday so I can give it my undivided attention. I'll try and remember to take pictures.

Well, I got it installed. The most time consuming part was snaking the antenna wire through the dash into the radio compartment. I was going to take pictures, but it looked like it was going to rain (and did) so I concentrated on the install alone. It worked! I can finally listen to AM radio without annoying static - and the FM reception is improved, as well.

For anyone else who has reception problems with teh Roadster antenna, this is a viable alternative!

Thanks for the update and I'm glad it helps. I might get one for the wife's coupe. She gets poor reception because of the window tint on the rear window.

I drove about 40 miles to the other side of the state this morning and kept the same am station on the whole time. In the past I'd have lost the signal (as noisy and terrible as it was) almost immediately. There is just a couple small thin wires visible - but not obrusive. I wished I'd done this three years ago!
