Default Blown speaker

Ok, I'm an engine/mechanical guy. I'm not really a stereo guru, but one of my factory speakers behind the seats is blown. I'd like some suggestions about replacement speakers that will fit in the factory location behind the seats that I can install my self without any drilling, etc.

Thanks in advance!

I was going to take a stab at this CGO, but then I realized I didn't know WTF I was talking about. So I'm going to refrain from making myself look like an idiot.

For reference, the speaker removal instructions are on page 8A-37 of the service manual.

Lol, thanks! I'm really just looking for suggestions on a good speaker set to replace the factory ones behind my seats. I'm sure there has to be some that are the same size and fit into the stock locations. Anyone?

Realize this is a very old thread... but I"m curious... did you ever find a
speaker that could be used as a replacement? I've recently blown one
as well, and found this thread through a search.

Thanks,

Coyote

I happen to have a pair of rear subwoofers that work perfectly fine. I just replaced them with full range speakers as i re did my whole stero system and have a single 12in solo baric subwoofer the rear subs are kidna point less any way id be willin to let them go cheap. i wouldnt put the kickers back there as there sensitvity will be much lower them the oem. So they want be as loud.

I have a amp I would run with the kickers. I wanted to re-do the system but I like having space in the trunk so thats what made me lean towards trying those kickers.
